Large Mirage are an Australian rock band whose live performances are a shimmering, vintage drenched, retro psych rock experience that drags us off the sofa to see them wherever we can - in small underground venues, theatres and into stadiums around Australia.

Influenced by the aesthetic of a golden era, Large Mirage bend genres and defy conventions to deliver an unforgettable repertoire, laden with killer hooks, fabulous bass runs, rich three-part harmonies, and lyrics that make us think twice, as we experience awe-inspiring instrumental prowess. The unmatched driving energy of the band live is exhilarating and stacked with unique sonic combinations and dramatic contrasts.

Large Mirage are renowned for their dynamic performances that excel and extend beyond what we’ve heard over the decades. While their style is reminiscent of The Who, Cream, Eagles, Jimi Hendrix, The Beatles, and more, Large Mirage are fiercely original. The songs are linked by threads and themes which present themselves throughout their repertoire. Yet, the songs remain elusive, and as a captivating body of works is leading us somewhere, that is for certain. We are yet to find out where.

Large Mirage's versatility explains how they can tear through an opening set for AC/DC, dive deep into extended jams (and unreleased material) across four nights at WOODFORD FOLK MUSIC FESTIVAL, and feature on New Year’s Eve at LOST PARADISE FESTIVAL, while headlining an All Ages event for SUMMER CRAWL in King St Newtown, then perform four shows alongside an eclectic mix of artists on the ROCK THE BOAT CRUISE OCTOBER 2026 – all with equal conviction. Large Mirage have played on some of the biggest festival stages across Australia and performed with national icons The Screaming Jets, Diesel, Amyl and The Sniffers, and Australian Rock Collective featuring members of Powderfinger, Jet, and Spiderbait. 2026 will see Large Mirage perform another lap of the land. This is rock at its most exciting: restless, joyous, and alive in the moment.
